In what cases is uploaded data automatically deleted from the Kidlogger.net server?
1. How the Server Automatically Deletes Files Uploaded from Devices
Kidlogger.net offers several subscription levels. Each level has its own limits: a maximum data retention period and a disk space quota allocated per device.
Deletion of Files That Exceed the Retention Period
For example, with the Basic plan, data is stored for up to 18 days. If monitoring continues beyond that, files from day 1 are automatically deleted on day 19. This applies to logs, screenshots, and all other uploaded data.
The server runs a background cleanup process regularly to remove files older than the allowed retention period.
At the time of writing, retention periods are as follows:
— Basic plan: 18 days
— Standard plan: 60 days
— Professional plan: 90 days
This means no data older than these limits can be stored on the server—regardless of available disk space.
Deletion Due to Exceeding Disk Space Quota
If the total volume of data uploaded from a device exceeds its allocated disk space, the server automatically deletes the oldest files to free up room.
This cleanup process runs regularly and processes user folders according to their subscription type.
Current disk space limits:
— Basic plan: 18 MB
— Standard plan: 1000 MB (1 GB)
— Professional plan: 2000 MB (2 GB)
Important: Age-based deletion and quota-based deletion work independently. A file may be removed due to space limits even if it hasn’t yet “expired,” and conversely, “expired” files are deleted even if space remains available.
Up-to-date information on retention periods and disk quotas is available on the Pricing page.
2. How to Save Important Data Uploaded from Monitored Devices
On the Logs page, you’ll find a Copy to Excel button that lets you export today’s data into a spreadsheet.
On the Screenshots page, each screenshot can be downloaded individually. This page also shows how much server space your device’s data is using and what your current quota is.

Paid subscriptions include the option to schedule automatic email reports: you can set up daily delivery of logs or analytics for each device. To do this, click the Schedule icon below the device name.

Additionally, paid accounts have a Backup section where you can download a complete archive of all files uploaded from each device.

3. How to Extend Data Retention Beyond the Standard Period?
Storing data on the Kidlogger server for longer than 90 days is not possible. To avoid losing important information, we recommend downloading a data archive via the Backup section every 80 days.
4. How to Prevent Folder Quota Overflow?
— Increase the screenshot interval. On the Settings page for each device, you can adjust this interval:
• If you don’t need screenshots, set the value to 0.
• For screenshots every minute, set it to 1.
A single screenshot can be up to 500 KB. At a 1-minute interval, a 1000 MB (1 GB) quota will be filled after approximately 2000 minutes—about 33 hours of active usage.
Increasing the interval to 5 minutes extends your storage duration by 5×. For example, if the device is used 3 hours per day, 1 GB will last about 50 days.
To avoid data loss, we recommend regularly downloading backups—especially if the data is important.
