10 rules for kids internet safety

Each child's life can not do without certain rules. This may be the unspoken rules and the foundations of the family, as well as the documented rules of social behavior. And kids know that the red light on the road can not move, so they need to know the rules of behavior in the network. It is important that children understand their own responsibility. And parents do not have to follow the child through the phone.

rules for kids internet safety

Kidlogger  proposes 10 basic rules that a child should learn before he or she is allowed access to the web. Set these for your child and explain why it is important to follow them.

I, your son or daughter, agree to the following rules:

  1. To never disclose personal information such as my home address, phone number, or the address or phone number of my parent’s workplace, without their consent.
  2. To immediately inform my parents if I encounter information that makes me feel uncomfortable.
  3. To never agree to meet anyone from the internet without my parents’ permission. If my parents agree, then the meeting should happen in a public place with at least one of my parents present.
  4. To tell my parents if I want to upload my photo to the web. I will not upload any photographs that  my parents consider inappropriate.
  5. To never respond to any messages that make me feel uncomfortable. I am not to blame for receiving them. If this happens, however, I will tell my parents.
  6. To agree with my parents on rules for using the internet and telephone. Together we should decide what time I can be online, for how long, and what sites I can visit. I will not break these rules unless my parents give their permission.
  7. No one, except for my parents, should know my passwords (even my best friend).
  8. To consult my parents before downloading and installing any applications or performing any other actions that could harm the computer or phone, or violate my family’s privacy.
  9. To be a good netizen and not cause any trouble or do harm to other people, and I will not break the law.
  10. To tell my parents how much fun it is to learn online and teach them everything I known about the internet, computers, and modern technology.

Have your child sign this agreement and definitely install a parental time-tracking program.
