Which version of KidLogger for Android to choose in 2026?

Recently, Google has significantly tightened security requirements for mobile devices, restricting non-system applications from accessing Accessibility features. An option that was previously actively used for monitoring is now either unavailable or operates with serious limitations. Nevertheless, effective tools for parental control still exist. Let's find out which application to choose depending on the Android version on the child's phone.

If the child has a phone with Android 10–13

For these OS versions, absolutely all current KidLogger products are available, as they are fully compatible with them. The choice depends on your goals:

1. Parental Time Control
   If it is important for you to control the child's daily routine, block the phone during school hours or at night, and forbid launching certain applications.
   • Features: There is no point in hiding this program — the child will immediately understand that control is installed, since some of the functions will become temporarily unavailable. For some monitoring functions to work, the application requires access to Accessibility, so Google Play Protect must be disabled before installation.
   • Protection: The second module — Support Android — protects the program from deletion, which also prevents forced stopping of the application and helps read data from the screen.

2. KidLogger PRO
   If you prefer soft monitoring and want to hide observation as much as possible.
   • Features: The program does not block anything on the device itself, but it records phone calls, photos, and is fully managed remotely via the server. Disabling Play Protect is also required for operation.

3. Remote control application (for parents)
   If your own smartphone also runs on Android 10–13, you can install a special application on it to manage KidLogger PRO on the child's phone. With its help, you can request current coordinates out of turn, record sound around the device, take a screenshot, or update settings from the server.

If Android 13 is installed on the target phone, you can use both classic versions (PRO and Parental Time Control) and new applications of the KidLogger 15 line.

If the child has a modern phone with Android 14–16

Starting with Android 14, the internal mechanisms of the system have changed significantly. Because of this, the classic versions of KidLogger PRO and Parental Time Control became incompatible with new devices: they either do not install at all, or their beta versions work unstably.

Specially for modern smartphones, we have created an absolutely new family of programs — KidLogger 15 (named after the most widespread version of Android now, which is preinstalled even on budget models).

Our developers built this software from scratch, since the old code turned out to be completely incompatible with the new Google security requirements. The programs of the KidLogger 15 line develop gradually: version after version, they receive new features to eventually fully catch up with the previous applications in terms of capabilities.

Currently, three options of KidLogger 15 are available:

• KidLogger 15 Sandbox — created for children under 12 years old. The program is not hidden and has a standard icon on the screen, but it is securely protected from deletion. It blocks access to the phone "Settings" and Google Play Store using a PIN code (it can be changed remotely via the server). The application does not use Accessibility and does not require disabling Play Protect. At the same time, it records the names of launched applications, their usage time, coordinates (once a minute, the interval is adjustable), call log, and shows photos from the camera.

• KidLogger 15 Standard version — does not block "Settings" and Play Store, allowing the child to use the phone freely. However, the application needs access to Accessibility, so Google Play Protect considers it potentially dangerous. Before installation, it is necessary to disable Play Protect. In addition to the "sandbox" features, the basic version can record visited URLs in the Google Chrome browser. PIN code protection against deletion works only when access to Accessibility is active.

• KidLogger 15 Hidden version — works invisibly to the user. Like the standard version, it requires access to Accessibility features and preliminary disabling of Google Play Protect.

Which version of KidLogger 15 to choose for a child?

• For younger children (under 12 years old): Sandbox is best suited. If the child is still small and does not configure the gadget themselves, this is enough. You will always know where they are and how much time they spend on the phone.
• For teenagers (12–16 years old): The optimal choice will be Standard version. It is not hidden, but it is easier to configure than a completely invisible option, and at the same time it records which sites the teenager visits. At this age, it is important to calmly explain to the child that the program is installed for their safety. Also remind them that they do not need to turn Play Protect back on when installing other applications, so as not to disrupt the control operation.
• When is the Hidden version necessary? In the same situations where the PRO version was used previously. Teenagers are often embarrassed by control and do not want peers or classmates to see such applications on their screen. The hidden version solves this problem. In addition, in case of theft or loss of the smartphone, it will be much more difficult for an intruder to detect and disable the tracker program.
