How to install and configure the Share Location application
1. INSTALLATION
- Install the app on the child's device from Google Play.
- When prompted, grant the location permission — it is needed only for the "Share My Location" button.
2. FIRST-TIME SETUP (FOR PARENTS)
- Open the menu icon (top-right corner) → Settings.
- Enter phone numbers: Mother, Father, Police.
- Optional: Set a Settings PIN so the child cannot change the numbers.
- Tap Save.
3. MAIN SCREEN
- SHARE MY LOCATION — sends your current GPS position (Google Maps link) through any app on the phone: WhatsApp, SMS, Telegram, email, etc.
- CALL MOM / CALL DAD / CALL POLICE — opens the phone dialer with the number ready. The child only needs to press the call button.
- SEND LOCATION TO MOM / DAD — opens the SMS app with a pre-written message containing the map link. The child only needs to press Send.
4. FREE TRIAL AND FULL VERSION
- For 14 days after installation, ALL features are free.
- After the trial period, you can unlock the FULL VERSION with a one-time purchase: unlimited location sharing, all 3 call buttons, and SMS with location.
- Free mode after trial: 1 call contact and 1 location share per day. Basic safety always remains free.
- The purchase is linked to your Google Play account and is restored automatically if you reinstall the app.
5. PROTECT FROM UNINSTALLING
- Install Google Family Link on your phone.
- Add the child's device to your family group.
- Block the uninstallation of "Share Location" in the Family Link settings.
6. PRIVACY & FAQ
- Does the app track location in the background? NO. Location is used only when the button is pressed.
- Do you collect data? NO. All numbers and settings stay on the device. See our Privacy Policy.
- Does it work offline? YES. Calls and location sharing work without an internet connection.
