Current monitoring capabilities for phones running Android 14 and newer

Currently, several monitoring programs with various features and, consequently, different approaches to parental control are available on kidlogger.net. Below are the programs listed in order of their release:

Kidlogger 15 version 1.X Sandbox

Key Features:

  • Running apps monitoring — launch time, app name, and usage duration.
  • Phone geolocation monitoring — coordinate tracking with intervals starting from 1 minute.
  • Captured photos monitoring — the app creates a thumbnail copy of each new photo and sends it to the website (available for paid accounts on kidlogger.net).
  • Phone calls monitoring — records a call log with contact names, time, and call duration.
  • App blocking — Settings, Play Store, YouTube, Facebook, FB Messenger, WhatsApp, Viber, TikTok, Telegram, Chrome, Instagram. Blocking is configured server-side and is disabled by default (available for paid accounts on kidlogger.net).
  • PIN code protection against changing settings.

Program Features: It is not blocked by Play Protect and does not require disabling it. Publication on the Play Store is possible.

  • PIN code protection against uninstallation and changing settings.

Program Features: It is blocked by Play Protect and requires its complete disabling. Publication on the Play Store is impossible.

  • Hidden mode — the app has no icon on the phone screen, and launching and configuration are performed via Settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ Settings.

  • Phone call recording into an audio file via the microphone.

Each of these programs exists in two phenotypes — KidLogger 15 and GridMetric with identical functions but different names and icons. The programs are published for public use, but their functionality may be limited depending on the subscription level.

Share Location

— an application without monitoring functions, designed as a convenient tool for the child.

Key Features:

  • Share My Location — a button allowing quick sharing of the current location with messenger contacts, via SMS, email, etc., using standard smartphone procedures.
  • Quick-dial buttons for parents and emergency services — Call Mom, Call Dad, and Call Police. Contact numbers are entered locally into the program menu once during setup. Additionally, settings can be protected against changes using a PIN code.
  • Quick-send buttons to transmit current coordinates via SMS to parents — Send location to mom, Send location to dad.

— The program serves as a safety tool and does not require internet access to transmit geolocation.

— The program is available on the website as a 10-day trial version and is currently undergoing closed testing on the Play Store. Everyone interested can apply to participate in the closed test. To do this, send the email address of the Google account used on the target phone through support, along with the program name — ShareLocation. All test participants receive the program for free. After testing ends, the program price will be about $2 (lifetime).

GeoFamily version 1.X

For the Child:

  • Share My Location — a button allowing quick sharing of the current location with messenger contacts, via SMS, email, etc., using standard smartphone procedures.
  • Quick-dial buttons for parents and emergency services — Call Mom, Call Dad, Call Police. Contact numbers are configured remotely server-side and can be changed as needed.
  • Quick-send buttons to transmit current coordinates via SMS to parents — Send location to mom, Send location to dad.

For the Parent:
