KidLogger for scientific research

When we created KidLogger, we, first of all, think of it as an opportunity to protect children from inappropriate content and gambling addiction. But, as it turned out, it can be used for scientific purposes.

KidLogger for scientific research

As we recently learned that the University of Poitiers (France) decided to use our program for the study. TECHNE Laboratory at the University has been studying the issue, dedicated to teenagers’ digital uses during the high school time.

The study includes various interviews, surveys and observation. It was decided to use application that can gather information from digital devices used by teenagers. For this purpose they chose KidLogger. After all, our program allows to collect and analyze information from a variety of devices: Android, Windows, Mac, iOS.

To our surprise, University of Poitiers not the only ones interested in our application from the point of view of science. As University of California (USA) conducted a study aimed at studying the habits of "Millennium Generation".

For them, it is important to obtain detailed information about the target group: which programs have been used, which windows are open, which information is read or seen. They also intend to track stress using biosensors and to query subjective mood throughout the day. KidLogger with the possibility of a log using different devices simply irreplaceable to obtain an overall picture.

It is truly an honor for us to become part of the scientific discoveries that help make our world a better place.
